Skål International Kuala Lumpur continues its efforts to bring joy and relief to the respectable poor once again, with another charitable act: transporting 40 kg. of clothing, apparel, toys, and household items to another regional Asian country, the Philippines.

Following its recent similar act of charity in Colombo, Sri Lanka on June 25th, 2026, just another month following, on July 22nd 2026, which also happens to herald the 80th birthday of Past President Richard Hawkins, both he and Skålleague Rowena Hawkins, representing the Skål International Kuala Lumpur Club No. 179 transported more than 40 kg. of clothing, apparel, accessories, shoes, toys and household items like towels and linen contained in their checked-in luggage, to the St. Therese Catholic Church in Pasay City, Manila in the Philippines.

The items were graciously accepted by the Parish priest there, who expressed his grateful thanks to the donors, duly attired in the striking Skål International Kuala Lumpur Club’s official 2026 t-shirts, and of course, for the donation received.

As an added bonus, the Parish Priest gave P/P Richard Hawkins a long and meaningful Blessing for reaching this great milestone in his Life.

What a blessed and meaningful experience for all – the Church, the donors, the intended recipients, Skål International Kuala Lumpur, and the birthday boy, Past President Richard Hawkins, for reaching another great milestone in his life.

Will Skål International Kuala Lumpur go for a “hat-trick” and execute a third charity drive in the foreseeable future?  Watch this space and find out!
