Skål International Argentina and AOCA Strengthen Their Alliance to Promote Tourism and the Meetings Industry

Skål International Argentina and the Argentine Association of Organizers and Suppliers of Exhibitions, Congresses, Events and Convention Bureaus (AOCA) have formalized a Framework Agreement for Institutional Collaboration and Cooperation, with the aim of strengthening joint efforts and creating new opportunities for the development of the meetings industry and Argentina’s tourism sector.

The agreement was signed by Sebastián Salvia, President of Skål International Argentina, and Fabián Moncada, President of AOCA. It establishes a cooperative framework focused on the exchange of knowledge and experience, the professionalization of the sector, the promotion of professional ethics, and the strengthening of relationships among their members.

An Alliance Built on Shared Connections and Goals

The relationship between the two institutions is also supported by a reality that closely connects them: many members of Skål Argentina serve as executives or owners of companies involved in organizing congresses, trade fairs, exhibitions, and events represented by AOCA.

This dual membership facilitates collaboration and advances common objectives, while the shared calendar of events between both organizations provides a strong foundation for deepening this new stage of cooperation.

Five Key Areas of Action

The agreement outlines five main areas of collaboration:

• Networking and Institutional Relations: Promoting opportunities for interaction that combine AOCA’s expertise with Skål’s international network and philosophy of friendship.

• Participation in Industry Events: Encouraging mutual participation and promotion in congresses, trade fairs, exhibitions, FIT, workshops, business roundtables, and Skål Argentina National Congresses.

• Education and Professional Development: Facilitating access to and promotion of training and professional development programs for tourism and meetings industry professionals.

• Destination Promotion: Supporting initiatives aimed at positioning Argentina as a preferred destination for congresses, trade shows, and events, both nationally and internationally.

• Ethics and Quality Standards: Promoting high service standards and adherence to the codes of ethics established by both organizations.

Looking Ahead

This alliance will expand networking, training, and cooperation opportunities for the members of both organizations while enhancing their institutional presence at strategic industry events.

At a time marked by digital transformation, sustainability, and the ongoing evolution of the tourism industry, sharing knowledge, experience, and best practices is essential to meeting new challenges and opportunities.

By signing this agreement, Skål International Argentina and AOCA reaffirm their commitment to the professional and sustainable development of tourism and the meetings industry, strengthening ties among industry professionals and working together to create new opportunities for Argentina.

Special thanks are extended to Patricia Duran Vaca, former President of the organization, and Nolberto Pezzati, Skålleague from Mar del Plata and President of the city’s Convention Bureau, for their support in achieving this important milestone. Appreciation is also extended to Ricardo Ayllon, member of the National Committee, and Oscar Moyano, Skålleague from Alto Valle, for their valuable support throughout the process.

An alliance that brings together experience, expertise, and networking to continue building the future of Argentine tourism together.
